The work starts from the analysis of a teaching-learning experience in a Theater Workshop accomplished in the city of Lagoa d'Antas, in 2019, in the context of the Trilhas Potiguares program, developed by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. Thus, it is proposed to present reflections on an education-investigative that put into question the writing of the official history starting from the records of memories and stories of the subjects participating in the workshop, problematizing the space of popular narratives within the writing of history and contributing to an area of theater teaching.
