The research aims to analyze how the judicial system has contributed to the implementation of protective, adaptive, and mitigative solutions in the context of climate change. Initially, the study explores the effectiveness of climate litigation as a tool to pressure governments into complying with international agreements and climate change legislation. It then examines how litigation can stimulate the execution of public policies focused on environmental protection, benefiting coastal communities through adaptive and mitigative measures. Finally, the research analyzes the capacity of climate litigation to promote environmental accountability and ensure adequate funding for adaptive technologies and research. Employing a qualitative approach, the study involves case analysis and a literature review on the impact of climate litigation in various contexts. The findings reveal that climate litigation not only helps transform environmental demands into concrete actions but also promotes climate justice and protects coastal populations against the adverse impacts of sea-level rise.
