Initially implemented in public daycare centers, the program was suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic and later adapted to Primary Health Care (PHC), focusing on children aged 6 to 24 months who are beneficiaries of the Programa Auxílio Brasil (PAB). The strategy involves the distribution of micronutrient sachets for home use, with supplementation cycles of 60 days, repeated three times a year. This documentary study aims to analyze and contextualize the NutriSUS program as a tool within Brazil's food and nutrition policies, from its implementation to the present, contributing to the understanding and improvement of these public policies. Objective: To explore and analyze data sources through documents on the NutriSUS program. Methods: The study is a qualitative research based on document analysis, which involved searches in databases using descriptors such as "micronutrients," "nutritional supplementation," and "child nutrition." Institutional repositories, public documents, institutional websites, and digital media were consulted. The search was structured with indicators of authorship, authenticity, textual reliability, and textual nature, categorizing theses, dissertations, and scientific articles by degrees, periods, and topics covered. Results and Discussion: A total of 72 documents were identified, covering a variety of contexts related to the topic. These documents included news articles, videos, guides, reports, technical notes, ordinances, articles, theses, dissertations, final papers, and abstracts published in conference proceedings. The analysis of these materials allowed for the evaluation of the coverage, implementation, adherence, and effectiveness of the NutriSUS program. Final Considerations: The NutriSUS program plays an important role in public health policies by improving food and nutritional security, as well as the quality of life of its beneficiaries. Although there are challenges related to management and logistics, the implementation of public policies in the SUS (Brazil's Unified Health System) is essential for promoting health and preventing diseases. Documentary research was fundamental in identifying sources that address a wide variety of topics related to the NutriSUS program. However, the analysis revealed some gaps in the content, suggesting that the scope of the program warrants further follow-up studies to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of the intervention.
