The state of Rio Grande does Norte, as well as the Northeast, has high dependence on wood products, such as firewood and charcoal, used as an energy source in the industrial and residential sectors. The state’s demand can be met with forest management and planting of forest species, Native forests with proper management are likely to be used without causing environmental damage. Forests plantations have promoted income generation for small, medium and large producers, but the state of Rio Grande do Norte still has small numbers of producers and planted forest areas, and all its production is traded, so the productions of planted forests promotes changes in locations that previously only exploited wood extractively and without technical monitoring. There are about 700 species of Eucalyptus, most originating in Australia, whith entered Brazil in 1904. In this sense, the general objective of this study was to analyze the financial feasibility of investing in planting Eucalyptus in the municipality of Ceará Mirim, RN. The specific objectives were to estimate the necessary cost elements for the implantation of Eucalyptus and the revenue elements based on market information, as well as to analyze the feasibility of the proposed project using financial indicators such as payback period (PR), Net present value (NPV) and internal rate of return (IRR). About the methodology, it is correct to say that, concerning the means, the research is bibliographical, documental and case study. Bibliographic, as materials easily accessible to the general public were used, such as books, articles, magazines and content available on the internet; whereas, as to ends. Estimated results indicate that, for a selling price of R$70.00 per ton, the estimated NPV was R$12,279.38 and the internal rate of return was 36.63% a. The.
