Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Licenciatura em Artes Visuais) - Departamento de Artes, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2018.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/38162The main aims of this work are to study the Artist's Books, specifically the book-object category, with reference to the works of the early California Missions (2012) and St. Joseph's Altar (2013) by the North American artist Meryl Perloff, who are analyzed and confronted with topics related to postmodernism. The methodology adopted for this work was based on the bibliographical research that contributed to the understanding of the categories related to the Artist's Books, pointed out by Paulo Silveira (2008), and to the understanding of the concept of postmodernism and its relation with art, with the contributions from authors such as David Harvey (2001) and Eduardo Subirats (1991). This work also includes a pedagogical action on the space of Artist Books in contemporaneity, and highlights the importance of the critical analysis of these within the context of the Visual Arts.Livros de ArtistaLivro-objetoMeryl PerloffPósmodernidadeOs livros de artista de Metryl Perloff e a PósmodernidadeMeryl Perloff's artist's books and PostmodernitybachelorThesisArtes Visuais
