Considering that there is a gradual increase in the demand for products, they must seek strategies to remain firm in the face of an increasingly competitive market. One of the important factors for companies to stay ahead of their competitors in order to increase their productivity while offering quality products in a considerable lead time, corresponds to the modernization of its production processes, which consequently implies investment in maintenance activities. According to the Brazilian Asset Management and Maintenance Association (ABRAMAN), these activities corresponded, in 2013, to a total cost per gross revenue of 4.69% of the Brazilian GDP. It is important to consider this activity as one of the primary factors for the success of the production, considering that its ineffective management results in negative results for the organization. Given this statement, we sought to understand, through bibliographic studies and application of knowledge in a shrimp farm used as the basis of the research, which factors influence the management of industrial maintenance, identifying, for the performance of these activities, inventory management as one of the main points, bearing in mind that the lack or poor conservation of the components to be used, interfere with the maintenance and consequently in the entire production process.Acesso AbertoGestão da manutençãoCadeia de suprimentosGestão de estoque e armazenamentoCarciniculturamasterThesis
