This investigation started by observing my grandmother's behavior when watching Globo TV soap operas that exhibited characters and social questions related to LGBTQIA + universe. The purpose was to ascertain, if the soap operas were fulfilling their role of inclusion and breaking prejudices of LGBTQIA + groups with viewers and society in general. The choice for the telenovela is because it has a large audience and media coverage in Brazil besides offering representations that serve as a model of lifestyle, behavior, identity and other references for people, promoting an overlap between fiction and reality. The need to know and analyze the LGBTQIA+ character models that a soap opera aired between 2010 and 2020, and what the public thinks about these representations and the social questions addressed by them, resulted in a list of all LGBTQIA + characters exhibited by Rede Globo's tele dramaturgy in the last decade and later, it prompted the survey, through a focus group meeting, to understand what the public is like as LGBTQIA + questions. As a result, through the meeting of the focus group, we found that the soap operas of Rede Globo contribute positively to the visibility, inclusion and breaking prejudices towards LGBTQIA +.Mídia.
