Análise do crescimento de beneficiários de planos de saúde no Rio Grande do Norte. Orientador: Carlos Alberto Freire Medeiros. 2025. 30 f. Monografia (Graduação) - Curso de Administração, Centro de Ciências Sociais Aplicadas, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2025.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/63070The research examines the growth of health plan beneficiaries in Rio Grande do Norte (RN), highlighting its relationship with the deficiencies of the Unified Health System (SUS) and the specificities of the regional market. Based on data from the National Supplementary Health Agency (ANS), the study adopts a descriptive and quantitative approach, exploring the profile of beneficiaries, loss rates and financial results of the main operators in the state. RN has seen a 20.2% growth in the number of beneficiaries in the last five years, with emphasis on the operators Hapvida and Unimed Natal, which together lead the market with different strategies: while Hapvida focuses on accessibility and its own network, Unimed Natal focuses on a public with greater purchasing power. The predominance of corporate group plans (59%) and the concentration of young beneficiaries reflect the importance of families in the supplementary health market. However, challenges such as high loss rates in some operators, judicialization and the increase in healthcare costs compromise the sustainability of the sector. Despite this, the financial results indicate a post-pandemic recovery, with a net profit of R$8.7 billion in the third quarter of 2024. The study concludes that the supplementary health market in RN reflects regional socioeconomic inequalities, but also offers opportunities to improve access and quality of services. With detailed analyses, the research contributes to strengthening the SUS and formulating strategies to ensure greater equity and sustainability in the sector.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/AdministraçãoPlanos de saúdeSaúde suplementarRio Grande do NorteAnálise do crescimento de beneficiários de planos de saúde no Rio Grande do NortebachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS::ADMINISTRACAO
