They have different configurations in regard to active and passive elements of the system. The control and monitoring is very important for the rational operation of the system in order meet the satisfaction of the population as much as possible minimizing water losses and make the system more efficient energy. Supply systems are critical systems, there is no downtime possibilities for testing and simulations. To perform the control of tuning you need a model that will best represent the system where you can simulate and test various situations to which the system is typically submitted on a day-to-day. This thesis features the mathematical model of water supply system of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, was modeled all the elements present on your system. Three controllers are implemented in simulation level, and they were compared their performance: servo type 1, the linear predictive controller and a non-linear predictive control.
