Driven by the latent housing deficit, government actions to encourage real estate credit and the capitalist nature of transforming urban land into commodities, the advance of this market undeniably transformed the direction of the country, with development, new housing options and proved to be a promising business opportunity, for those who want to undertake in the segment. This work aims to analyze the behavior of the evolution of property prices in one of the regions with the highest growth in the metropolitan region of the city of Natal, in Rio Grande do Norte, which is the neighborhood of Nova Parnamirim. Even more specifically, data were collected from one of the main roads in the neighborhood, Abel Cabral Avenue. After the analyses, it was found that there is a direct relationship between property prices and the advance of the IPCA, but, however, does not mean an exact proportionality.
