The system monitors well parameters such as flow rate, pressure, and drilling fluid density, and automatically adjusts backpressure to maintain constant bottomhole pressure within safe limits. LabVIEW was chosen as the development platform due to its ease of graphical programming, hardware integration capabilities, and intuitive human-machine interface creation. The system was implemented on a CompactRIO Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), ensuring real-time execution of control tasks using deterministic managed tasks, queues, and a messaging system. Validation was performed on a test rig, demonstrating its effectiveness in pressure control and influx monitoring.
