Thus, the present work aimed to develop a tool for inventory management and control, using the Excel platform in a company in the wind industry. The case study took place between 2018 and 2019 in the company's warehouse sector, with a predominant approach to qualitative research. There was a need to generate information and manage and control spare parts in the company under study. The Excel platform, in turn, was applied due to its popularity, wide use and low cost, where the VBA (Visual Basic for Application) programming language was integrated in order to manipulate complex data and calculations. As a result, the mechanisms developed in the tool allowed the control of stock levels, orders, audits, invoices and maintenance. As well as, they made it possible to monitor the movement of these activities, through the generation of reports for customers, the central warehouse team, the finance sector and for internal control of the services team of the wind plant with the management of the processes. Dashboards were developed, based on the selected indicators, which provide strategic information for making order decisions and controlling costs, services and inventory.
