This alloy is mostly used in the foil form by the food and pharmaceutical industries, being capable of replacing some alloys of the 1000, 3000 and 5000 AA series. That being said, the present study has the objective to observe the aspects of recrystallization of this material in the H18 condition (Strain-Hardened) by cold rolling. The AA 8011 samples were provided by CBA (Companhia Brasileira de Alumínio), Itapissuma – PE unity; they were sheets with 0,4 mm thickness. The said samples had undergone heat treatments (annealing) in the temperatures (T) 280, 300, 320 e 340 °C in times of 10, 30, 60, 90 e 120 min, so the recrystallization can be studied according to the time and temperatures applied. Subsequently, the samples were analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD), optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (FEG-SEM) and microhardness Vickers.
