Conceptualizing what a toy is, its relationship with the child and its social role, the paper describes the importance of this artifact for child development, and especially for its contribution to fostering creativity. Following a linear methodology, it begins with bibliographic research, going through participatory tools for data collection, followed by a creative process and material experimentation, culminating in the execution of a final model for evaluation.
