From this, the present research seeks to study about the obstetric reception provided to women who had vaginal delivery at the Regional Hospital Mariano Coelho-HRMC. The methodology used was understood in bibliographical, documentary and field researches that deal with the subject; and, interview, guided by semi-structured script, with 15 (fifteen) puerperal women who had a baby in HRMC. Data collection was performed between July and November of 2018, interviews were recorded, data were organized and analyzed considering the technique of content analysis discussed by Bardin (2009). The work was organized, based on the reflections about the analysis of the collected data, in three points: the first one addressed questions about the obstetric reception; the second dealt with the right to accompany and its relationship with social constructions based on patriarchy; and the third is constituted by the right of choice on the procedures of interventions performed at childbirth. Thus, the systematization of data discussion allowed us to conclude, in general terms, that the lack of reception of women occurs in a context of naturalization of the violation of rights, and clinical procedures do happen without emphasizing the autonomy of women about their delivery.Acolhimento obstétricoAutonomia no partoAssistênciaViolência obstétricaObstetric careAutonomy in childbirthCareObstetric violenceComo somos acolhidas?
