The review of the literature showed that the interest of many researchers in the relationship between school and family is not recent nor is it noteworthy about the influence of the family is not recent nor is it noteworthy about the influence of the family on the schooling of children, which is considered the main ally of the school institution. Specifically with regard to integral education, which emerged as an alternative for modern families that, due to numerous factors, need to leave their children in school for an extended period of time, it was possible, during the experience as a trainee, to experience situations that left suggesting a lack of accountability of families in relation to aspects related to the care and education of their children as well as an absence of dialogue between family and school. Give that both the family context and the school context exert a significant influence on the individual´s formation process, the present work described the routine of the experience as a trainee in a group of 4th year enrolled in integral education and analyzed some situations experienced in the light of theoretical referential chosen, showing how the distance between family and school has negative repercussions for the good educational performance of the student, as well as in all the development of the child.openAccessRelação família-escolaEducação integralDesempenho escolarFamily-school relationshipComprehensive educationSchool performancebachelorThesisCiências Humanas
