Environmental Education can be treated in two ways, the formal one when we deal with schooling levels and what is learned in the school environment, even if it is not a subject, as an integrated, continuous and permanent educational practice. The non-formal can be taught by means of mass communication in educational programs and campaigns that are not limited to the school space. The objective is to analyze and describe a proposal for an Environmental Education methodology, applied to schools in the municipality of Nova Cruz/RN. The methodology consisted in the application of a lecture as it were to expose the content, followed by questions to consolidate what was presented, recycling workshops and finally, a pedagogical activity for fixation. According to what was observed, it is important to constantly build knowledge about the environment and the care we should take, in building critical thinking at all school levels. Therefore, the objective of the project was met, the content was worked in the best way with the resources available.
