The evaluation was made in the building of the School of Sciences and Technology (SST) at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, where the current climate system will be replaced by VRF and the electrical installations will be used. The work seeks to evaluate the efficiency of the VRF air conditioning system compared to conventional and design a better use of the already installed system, also looking for material savings and later energy saving. In addition, the location of the condensing machines was evaluated, since the weights are different from conventional air conditioning machines. In this proposal the same internal thermal loads and infiltration rates are adopted and air renewal was included.
