Dissertação (Mestrado em Física) - Centro de Ciências Exatas e da Terra, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2025.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/64115The propagation of energy in wave form is one of nature’s most elegant expressions, since it carries with it characteristics of the medium which can be investigated by different methods. In this work, we will start from an idealized scenario of acoustic wave propagation in order to transpose it into models that tend towards reality, incorporating attenuation effects, i.e. energy losses. Initially, we will study acoustic wave propagation in the time and frequency domain. Next, we will introduce viscoacoustic wave propagation, the aim of which is to make these effects explicit. In this part, we quantify the impact of attenuation on wave propagation through the Q factor. Finally, we model the pressure f ield in order to obtain numerical solutions to the problem and thus make the differences between propagations explicit as a function of these effects. This research contributes to a better understanding of Ondulatory Physics.pt-BRAcesso AbertoFísicaEfeitos de atenuaçãoFator QPropagação de onda acústicaPropagação de onda viscoacústicaEfeitos de atenuação na propagação de ondas acústicasmasterThesisCIENCIAS EXATAS E DA TERRA::FISICA
