Given the reduced number of hours allocated to the Physical Education curriculum, this research explores how electives and formative workshops can enhance dialogue with students, fostering greater engagement and deeper understanding of the content. The results indicate that, despite the challenges observed in implementing the New High School model, Physical Education plays a crucial role in students' holistic development. The integration of its contents, such as sports, games, dance, and martial arts, with methodologies that encourage critical thinking and student autonomy, contributes to meaningful learning and the development of moviment culture. Furthermore, the study highlights the need for increased investment in continuous teacher training and the strengthening of Full-Time Schools, aiming to provide better teaching and learning conditions.
