The capital commodifies natural resources, involving them in goods for private access and use, which come to be appropriated by the bourgeoisie to generate surplus value. This progressive movement for profit, characteristic of capitalism, disrupts the natural balance of the planet, causing the depletion of biotic resources and threatening traditional populations. For this reason, traditional fishing groups and communities are faced with the unbridled advance of capital in their territories, generating the most diverse socio-environmental conflicts, which in turn destroy traditional ways of being and living. This work dealt in particular with the impacts of industrial fishing, oil spills and wind energy on the Northeastern fishing territories, the first one already incorporated into the political agenda of fishing men and women for decades, the others with great notoriety in recent years . The methodology used corresponds to qualitative research, with a bibliographical and documental review, based on the analysis of the historicity of the phenomena, under the light of the Marxist method.
