A influência do treinamento de força e do destreinamento na síndrome dos ovários policísticos. 2020. 50f. Dissertação (Mestrado em Educação Física) - Centro de Ciências da Saúde, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2020.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/jspui/handle/123456789/29525Currently, there is a need for specific measures to collaborate with the reintegration of the health of women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), changes in lifestyle such as diet and exercise are considered to be effective in non-pharmacological treatment, and the types of interventions and exercises are not yet fully understood by the literature. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the changes caused by strength training and detraining in body composition, muscle strength, and biochemical markers, as well as their relationships. This is a clinical trial study, conducted with 11 patients (29.09 ± 3.5 years) without using contraceptives, residing in Natal-RN. Muscle strength training consisted of a classic linear periodization lasting 12 weeks and 36 sessions, and four weeks of detraining, assessments were collected pre and post-intervention and detraining, in which body composition was analyzed using DEXA, the Maximum Force through the dynamometer (handgrip and scapular), and biochemical investigations by blood sample. SOP was defined by the Rotterdam criteria. Descriptive analyzes were obtained by measures of central tendency and dispersion for the characteristics of the sample, followed by a paired t-test for analysis of changes in body composition, strength and biochemistry, as well as the calculation of difference by means of deltas. Finally, the Person correlation test was used to detect the relationships between these variables. A p value ≤0,05 was considered for all statistical analysis. Non-significant increases the HDL mean values, being pre 43,818 and post 45,091. In the correlations of biochemistry with were observed body composition and muscle strength, only significant results occurred in glucose values with soft tissue (r = 0.668) and in total mass (r = 0.668). Postintervention there were positive changes in HDL cholesterol values, and glucose was significantly correlated with elements of body composition. However, the results demonstrate that strength training did not promote changes in body composition, strength and biochemical markers of the evaluated patients. Therefore, there is no cause and effect relationship between these variables in women with polycystic ovary syndrome.Acesso AbertoSíndrome do ovário policísticoTreinamento resistidoComposição corporalMarcadores bioquímicosA influência do treinamento de força e do destreinamento na síndrome dos ovários policísticosThe influence of strength training and detrainig on polycystic ovary syndromemasterThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::EDUCACAO FISICA
