The methodology used was descriptive, with a quantitative approach. The sample is probabilistic, the field of research was the Dona Maroca School. A structured questionnaire with open and closed questions and an interview was applied as a tool for data collection. A descriptive statistical analysis of the collected data was performed. The results reveal that most respondents are more concerned with working than knowing what outsourcing really means. It is concluded that outsourcing in the public sector enables management to focus on essential activities.
