One of the key elements for high-quality services is achieving optimal safety levels. This study aims to evaluate the levels of patient safety culture in the surgical center of a University Hospital at two different moments. It is a descriptive, longitudinal, analytical study with a quantitative approach, conducted in the Surgical Center of the Ana Bezerra University Hospital. The study involved 40 participants, and data were collected using the Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture questionnaire. The data were organized and stored in Microsoft Office Excel and analyzed using the Package for the Social Sciences. A sociodemographic categorization of professionals was carried out, evaluating their Time of Training (TT) and Time of Service at the institution (TS). In addition, a positive response analysis of the 12 dimensions of patient safety was performed. The data showed that the hospital's surgical center has professionals with longer training and work experience. Additionally, an increase in indices was observed in 9 out of the 12 dimensions.
