They arouse the interest of several segments, mainly the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical, cosmetics, energy and biotechnology industries due to their biochemical properties. Microalgae stand out due to its easy environmental adaptability and low cost to implement production, which can be carried out throughout the year, requiring little water for cultivation, in addition to its biochemical composition being able to be manipulated through management and external factors. . However, there are barriers related to management, mainly to the control factor of biotic and abiotic parameters, production scale, market demand, genetic improvement, among others.
