Currently, the oil industries work with several types of reservoirs, among them are the heavy oil reservoirs, which are of extreme importance because they have significant oil reserves. These reserves are present even in the Brazilian northeast and require certain techniques for their production, as is the case with thermal methods. In this study the steam injection was carried out continuously, with horizontal wells, following the principle of oil drainage by gravitational segregation (SAGD), to improve production. In this evaluation, a technical and economical analysis of a reservoir with characteristics pertinent to the Brazilian northeast was made, using some Computer Modeling Group (CMG) computational tools such as WinProp, Builder and STARS. several injection schemes with horizontal wells, varying the number of wells (injectors and producers), the injection flows and the distribution schemes of the wells.
