According to RDC No. 222/2018, every waste generator must prepare a Health Services Waste Management Plan (PGRSS). Thus, the study arises from the need to develop and implement the PGRSS, in the UAN of a State Hospital in Rio Grande do Norte. Method: Descriptive, qualitative, experience report study, carried out as part of an intervention project. It was developed in two stages: UAN Diagnosis and Training for UAN employees. Results and Discussion: The diagnosis revealed that UAN does not adopt adequate practices for managing RSS and the training sought to raise aware- ness among employees about the importance of correct waste segregation.
