The Brazilian Law on the Inclusion of People with Disabilities (LBI), enacted in 2015, establishes that companies with more than 100 employees must reserve 2% of their job openings for PWDs. In addition, the LBI also guarantees accessibility to all spaces, services, and products, including workplaces. PWDs represent a significant portion of the Brazilian population, about 8.9%, according to the IBGE. However, there are still challenges to be overcome to ensure the diversity and inclusion of these people in customer service and company work teams. Assistive technologies are resources that can help PWDs perform everyday tasks such as communication, mobility, access to information, and social participation. These technologies can be used in customer service and company work teams to ensure accessibility and inclusion for PWDs. The use of assistive technologies can contribute to improving the experience of customers and employees, ensuring them quality service and the opportunity to participate fully in society. In addition to ensuring accessibility and inclusion, the use of assistive technologies can also bring benefits to businesses. Companies that invest in accessibility and inclusion are more likely to be recognized as socially responsible, and also have the benefit of developing "employer branding", attracting and retaining talent. In this way, it becomes important to study the importance of implementing assistive technologies as a step towards ensuring the diversity and inclusion of PWDs in customer service and company work teams.
