The vessels that are currently used for tuna fishing are adaptations of other models, which compromises the operational efficiency and increases maintenance and operating costs. In this context, this project proposes the development of modern, technologically advanced watercraft, designed to meet the specific needs of local shipowners. The central goal is to increase productivity and efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and minimize operational costs via the integration of cutting-edge technology. Among the innovations, the use of Internet of Things (IoT) sensors stands out for real-time monitoring of machine performances, the energy consumption and the structural conditions, facilitating predictive maintenance. Furthermore, the application of artificial intelligence will allow for accurate mapping of fishing grounds and the location of fish schools, particularly in response to climate change, which has altered the migratory pattern of species. The project also incorporates sustainable solutions, such as solar energy systems to power the essential equipment, ensuring greater autonomy and reducing fossil fuel consumption. Advanced satellite communication systems will enable the treatment and analysis of data in real time and making rapid and safe decisions, even in remote regions. With the implementation of these technologies, the project not only addresses issues faced by shipowners, but also prepares the oceanic fishing sector for a more technologically advanced, efficient and environmentally friendly future. The modernization of the sector, combined with workforce training and the adoption of innovative practices, represents a crucial milestone in the evolution of Brazil’s fishing industry, resulting in a more productive, cost-effective, with operationally efficient activity with a stronger commitment to marine resource conservation.pt-BRAcesso AbertoCriatividadePesca oceânicaInovação tecnológicaSustentabilidadeFrota pesqueira industrial do atum: inovação e tecnologia para uma economia azulmasterThesisOUTROS::CIENCIAS
