Departamento de Geografia.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/34641The present study aimed to analyze the influence of the non-compulsory practice in the formation of bachelor 's degree students at UFRN, located in the city of Natal, as well as discussing the process of formation of the bachelor in Geography, considering current literature and the pedagogical project of this academic course; to identify the non-compulsory practice profiles in the Geography workfield in the city of Natal, the repercussion in this academic course internally and analyze the students' perception of importance of the practice for the construction and / or development of professional skills and relevant competences to the academic course of Geography. Following these discussions, as methodological procedures, a bibliographical research was used about process of bachelor's degree training in Geography and the aim was to understand the problem, seized from the application of questionnaires with the students about the importance of practicing the internship. In this perspective, it is seen that both students who practiced the non-compulsory internship, and those who did not, considered it essential to practice the non-compulsory internship for their professional training.
