Avaliação do sucesso dos mini-implantes quando utilizados como alternativa no tratamento ortodôntico. 2019. 50 f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Odontologia) - Departamento de Odontologia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2019.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/39215Introduction: Skeletal anchorage systems have been used in orthodontics due to the possibility of obtaining more efficient tooth movements, with less patient discomfort and collaboration. Aim: To analyze the effectiveness of mini-implants in orthodontic treatment, based on the clinical experience of the research participants, in order to assist the professional in the protocols used. Methodology: The study was conducted using Google® forms, composed of 12 objective questions, sent by the Regional Council of Dentistry (CRO) to the orthodontists of Natal / RN. Thirty-five questionnaires were answered by professionals and these data were analyzed descriptively and statistically in order to seek the association of dependent and independent variables, reaching a better understanding of the effectiveness of mini-implants as an alternative to orthodontic treatment. Results: Orthodontists' responses indicated a successful profile of mini-implant installation based on their clinical experience. Final considerations: According to the findings of this study, it can be concluded that mini-implants depend on a range of factors that influence their success. However, they are generally a good alternative for orthodontic anchorage.ImplanteTécnicas de movimentação dentalProcedimentos cirúrgicos menoresOrtodontia corretivaAvaliação do sucesso dos mini-implantes quando utilizados como alternativa no tratamento ortodônticobachelorThesis
