Methods: Cross-sectional study carried out with 135 Primary Health Care employees in a city in the interior of the Northeast. A questionnaire was used to evaluate professionals' practices, from which data were analyzed with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics software. Submitted and approved by the Research Ethics Committee, with opinion: 6,601,998. Results: A total of 97% of participants undergo a rapid diagnostic test. Among the units, 78.5% and 75.6% of participants responded that the diagnosis occurs during the prenatal consultation and by spontaneous demand, respectively; 97% responded that they carry out compulsory notification; 46.7% of units carry out treatment in the unit itself; to control healing, 55% request quarterly VDRL.
