Monografia (Bacharelado em Design) - Departamento de Artes. In this regard, guidelines were elaborated for the handmade production of artifacts, by animal cause-engaged volunteers, allowing them to feed the abandoned cats at the place. By aligning all the insights found on research and refining the best solutions for the structural problems, 6 project guidelines were developed. Those guidelines, beyond helping structural problems on the final product, look to help the voluntary activity on campus, to give new meaning to the cat feeder by raising awareness about the animal cause and instigate sustainability with the use of low cost and waste materials. Added to this, this study used principals of social and collaborative design. The first for the theoretical ground which helps on the development of projects for social causes. The second, as methodological orientation, by the use of participatory tools of the Framework methodology for user research.openAccessCausa animalAnimais abandonadosDesign colaborativoDesign socialCampus universitárioSustentabilidadeDiretrizes de design para construção artesanal de artefatos para alimentar gatos abandonados: um estudo da causa animal no campus central da UFRNbachelorThesis
