As políticas públicas e a inserção do Rio Grande do Norte no Sistema Agroalimentar Global: Experiências, desafios e possibilidades.2016. 113 f. Monografia (Bacharelado) - Curso de Ciências Econômicas, Departamento de Economia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2017.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/41602Rio Grande do Norte promoted a partial modernization of the agricultural sector around irrigated fruit and dairy farming, leaving a large portion of the rural population in absolute poverty. In the 1990s, fruit production - irrigated and rainfed - gained significant values, becoming the main subsector of the agricultural economy and the state export agenda. The articulation of excluded sectors around their representative organizations has resulted in important achievements such as the creation of programs aimed at strengthening family agriculture and institutional markets. Despite the transformations in agrifood systems and the large number of studies in the international and national literature, there are still few studies that deal with analyzes as peculiar forms of insertion of less developed regions, such as the state of Rio Grande do Norte. Thus, the objective of this work is to answer the public policies that contributed most to the growth of business agriculture and family agriculture in the state of Rio Grande do Norte and what their effects were on production, productivity and new forms of organization of production. For this, five reports of family farming experiences were used, from Apodi, Currais Novos, Mossoró and Baraúnas municipalities, as well as three experiences of business agriculture in the municipalities of Mossoró and Natal. The reports are fruit of interviews and visits, which occurred in the last year. In the search for a response to this objective, bibliographical and documentary research was used, as well as the analysis of primary and secondary data based on descriptive statistics. It would not be possible for the experiences documented throughout this work to be successful, without the support of public policies. However, family farming and business agriculture still lacking most efficient state, which can provide them with quality technical assistance, as well as better infrastructure conditions.openAccessAn error occurred getting the license - uri.Sistema agroalimentarPolíticas públicasAgricultura familiarAgricultura empresarial.Agrifood systemFamily agricultureBusiness agricultureAs políticas públicas e a inserção do Rio Grande do Norte no Sistema Agroalimentar Global: Experiências, desafios e possibilidadesbachelorThesis
