The selected time frame was chosen as a contemporary reference point. Through a prior analysis of work, its origins, and its transformations over time, it was possible to develop a discussion about the changes that have occurred, the precarization of work, and the influence of capital. Subsequently, an analysis was conducted on moral harassment, its meaning, concepts, and its consequences for workers' health, as well as the legislation applicable to UFRN and Brazil regarding this form of violence. Finally, a study was carried out on the most recent actions developed by the university aimed at combating or preventing moral harassment in the workplace. Eight training sessions and several studies on related topics conducted by UFRN were identified. The quantitative analysis revealed the limited number of actions carried out during the studied period. Conversely, a brief study of the university’s Ombudsman Office was conducted, highlighting significant records related to reports of moral harassment. All data and studies produced through this research reveal that, despite being a public educational institution, UFRN could combat this form of violence more effectively, which must be brought to light.
