Over the years, it has modernized as new technologies emerged. Automation in the industry has expanded worldwide in the pursuit of increasing efficiency and reducing costs. The city of Jardim de Piranhas is nationally known for its textile production, especially hammocks and dishcloths. This research aims to investigate and understand the automation of the textile industry in Jardim de Piranhas through a study of industries in the mentioned municipality and how the integration of technologies has transformed and fostered development. To conduct this study, bibliographic, documental, and field research were carried out. Considering the importance of the textile industry to the municipality, it is essential to understand how this activity drives the local economy.
