Superfícies de suporte indicadas no posicionamento cirúrgico de cirurgias de discectomia: uma revisão de escopo. Orientadora: Suenia Silva de Mesquita Xavier. 2024. 25f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Enfermagem) - Departamento de Enfermagem, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2024.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/58893Introduction: In lumbar discectomy, where surgical positioning is a critical step, it is necessary to determine the effectiveness of support surfaces in reducing the pressure exerted during surgical positioning to reduce the incidence of injuries. Objective: Conduct a scoping review of the literature to identify which support surfaces are recommended for surgical positioning in discectomy surgeries. Method: This is a scoping review based on Walker and Avant's concept analysis model, following the recommendations of the PRISMA Extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR) checklist with a protocol registered in the Open Science Framework under number DOI 10.17605/OSF. IO/ZSAHN, developed from May to June 2024 in the Cochrane Library, LILACS, SciELO, Scopus, CINAHL, PubMed and Web of Science databases. Online articles were included, in full, in Portuguese, English, Spanish or Italian and studies that addressed the use of support surfaces outside the context of discectomy surgeries, studies published more than 30 years ago and publications in journals without Qualis Periodicals assessment. As a result, the final sample was characterized by 3 articles. Results: The articles in the final sample were published in the period 2008-2017, all in English and most of them with a descriptive approach and level of scientific evidence V. The vast majority of the studies addressed the supine and lateral positions, in addition to the knee position. chest, with support surfaces made of viscoelastic foam material, filled with air and sheepskin. Final considerations: The support surface indicated for surgical positioning in discectomy surgeries, in accordance with available scientific evidence and due to cost-benefit, is the gel-based viscoelastic polymer. However, it is recommended that new studies be carried out with other designs on this topic.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/NeurocirurgiaEquipamentos e provisõesPosicionamento do pacienteAssistência perioperatóriaLesão por pressãoSuperfícies de suporte indicadas no posicionamento cirúrgico de cirurgias de discectomia: uma revisão de escopoSupport surfaces indicated in the surgical positioning of discectomy surgeries: a scoping reviewbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::ENFERMAGEM::ENFERMAGEM MEDICO-CIRURGICA
