Therefore, studies of coatings in order to improve these characteristics have been carried out on a large scale. In this work, we sought to obtain a calcium phosphate-based coating through electrolytic plasma oxidation (Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation – PEO) using the potential difference in its two characteristics, both anodic and cathodic at different exposure times. The morphological characterization and the study of the samples took place through X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) to determine if there was really deposition of hydroxyapatite, a ceramic material, on the steel surface and also by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), both topographical and side, to evaluate the amount of material deposited and thickness of the coating acquired.
