Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação) - Curso de Direito, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2022.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/52658This study aims to analyze the issue of employability of transvestites, transsexuals and transgender people in the city of Natal/RN, as well as to understand the obstacles faced by them in labor relations, the possibility of qualification through the Transcidadania program and the lack of own legislation or normative mention that in fact guarantees the inclusion, access and permanence of this group in the formal labor market. In view of this, we seek to answer how the Law can be used as an instrument to promote opportunities for qualification and insertion of trans people in the labor market and, thus, provide a more equitable treatment to them. The approach used was a qualitative and descriptive study, based on documentary research. In this regard, through the analysis of legislation, dissertations, theses, scientific articles, jurisprudence and doctrine, we presented a description of the problems faced by trans people in the world of work, the legal protection guaranteed to these people and the legislation that deal with the Transcidadania program in the city of Natal and in the state of Rio Grande do Norte.
