The objective is to understand how indexing has been discussed in national scientific production over the past five years, analyzing the main trends and thematic approaches identified in the research. The methodology used is bibliographic, exploratory, descriptive, with a qualitative approach, based on a search conducted in three sources: the Brazilian Database of Journal Articles in Information Science (BRAPCI), the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciElo), and the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD), with a temporal cut-off from 2020 to 2024. The research retrieved 244 (two hundred and forty-four) results, of which 107 (one hundred and seven) were discarded for not fitting the scope of the research, resulting in a final selection of 137 (one hundred and thirty-seven) works.
