It is also an action with low cost of implementation and maintenance, which allows its dissemination in precarious regions. Solar distillation takes place in a distiller with saline water inside, exposed to the sun, which contains a cover that allows the passage of transparent solar radiation. With this, the water and the container absorb heat and heat up to a higher temperature than that of the cover, and the evaporation process begins. Then the water vapor is condensed inside the lid and this distilled water is collected. However, this is still a process with low daily water production. For this reason, many researchers study materials that can help improve this process. In view of this, the present work aimed to analyze the use of granulated activated carbon in a tray-type solar still and to understand if it can contribute to increasing the efficiency of the distiller's production. The results obtained from the tests carried out were used to analyze and understand the influence of factors that alter productivity.
