However, for political and economic reasons, these roads currently have a high number of pathologies, many of which can be resolved through pavement restoration. In order to improve the efficiency of the restoration process, ways to prolong the useful life of restoration services were thought of, so geosynthetics began to be incorporated into this type of service and proved to be very effective for this purpose. Despite this, in the case of polymeric materials, geosynthetics suffer numerous thermal and physical attacks, which somehow can change their characteristics in order to reduce their efficiency, in this way this work aims to propose a research methodology with the aim of to provide a basis for studying, in a practical way, the thermal and physical degradation of geosynthetics when used in works to restore flexible pavements. The methodology used for the elaboration of this work was based on the analysis of works that proposed to carry out experiments to analyze the degradation of geosynthetics in paving works.
