The objective of this work is to present a possible reading on the notion of progress in Kant's philosophy of history, which goes beyond the limits of a merely juridical reading, basing on the notion of moral duty and consolidating as a reading inserted into the system critical, not only because the notion of progress is conceived as necessarily subjective, as a duty, above all for to be conceived as an ideal undetermined. The first chapter presents a link between practical philosophy and philosophy of history, through the essay, 1784, where it is possible to contemplate a progress historical moral, based on the notion of duty to work for the development of all natural dispositions humans. The second chapter presents from the "Appendix to the Transcendental Dialectic", the legitimacy a priori of the principle of conformity to goal, also demonstrates how this teleological notion arises from an interest not merely speculative reason, but to satisfy the interest of pure practical reason and, therefore, shows up as the notion of teleology determines the conception of moral progress in human history.
