The identification and reduction of the theme are due to observations perceived in some post graduation of the absence of the debate of this socio-occupational space both in the classroom and in congresses and seminars in the area. The specific objectives are both to make an approximation about the trajectory of the professional category in the teaching area, and to understand how the Social Service has thought and directed the exercise of teaching in professional training in its scientific productions. In order to reach them, research was carried out in 15 journals in the specific area of Social Service with emphasis on articles chosen between 2010 and 2018. The result showed the reduced number of publications about teaching reaching only 0.2% of the total articles. In analyzing publications and approaches, they are permeated by themes of teacher sickness, insecurity/overload of work and academic productivism. The emphasis of these articles is on postgraduate, leaving the undergraduate out of the debate.
