In this context, the aim is to reduce the number of cases through the use of accessible technologies, such as a screening tool for suicidal ideation in health professionals in these sectors. The general objective of the study was to develop an instrument for identifying suicidal ideation among urgency and emergency health professionals, with the specific objectives being: to identify risk factors in the scientific literature for suicide tendencies among health professionals and to develop the screening instrument and identification of attempted suicide among urgency and emergency professionals. It consists of a cross-sectional, quantitative, methodological study, developed in 03 stages to create the instrument. In the first stage, a scope review was carried out with the purpose of mapping and identifying possible instruments for stratifying suicide risk or tendency, in the second stage there is a theoretical basis through Pasquali's model for creating the proposed instrument. The Instrument for Tracking and Identification of Suicidal Ideation in Urgent and Emergency Health Professionals was developed based on research obtained through a scoping review, as well as guides, manuals and instruments aimed at the general population, such as the Nurses Global Assessment Risk Suicide. The instrument developed was organized into three axes that consider sociodemographic, clinical and work-related data. It is presented by a questionnaire with 38 items to be checked, divided into 03 tables with 02 columns, the first being for the item to be checked and the second with the answer. It is an objective technology, easy to understand, apply and low in cost, and can be used by health care centers, and direct possible precautionary and attention measures. It is important to highlight the indispensability of tracking possible obstacles that affect the mental health of healthcare professionals, offering them means that, in addition to demonstrating their appreciation, are committed to the search for caring for those who generate the best results for the institutions in which they work.
