Maria Nilciene Mariz de Medeiros, in the city of São João do Sabugi/RN, and its general objective is to analyze the importance of the “Leva e Traz” project for the formation of the reader in Early Childhood Education; as well as investigating the project's impact on children's learning; and reflect on the relationship that the project provides between parents, children and school, by providing the families of the children of this educational institution the contact and monitoring in the process of initiation from them in the scope of reading. Thus, after get in the space of the institution and having contact with the project, we decided to do a questionnaire with one of the school teachers who uses the project with the children. So that we could base our work and arrive at a discussion and reflection on the objectives, we based ourselves on some theorists, as well as the devices and documents that guide educational actions, namely: BNCC (2018), Feba and Souza (2011), Colomer (2007), Coelho (1991), and Kramer (2007). In the theoretical and methodological basis, a dialogue is maintained with works by researchers who have productions in this field, among others.
