These studies reveal a worrying trend regarding our planet, and gradually, we are experiencing these occurrences in our daily lives. There are increasingly noticeable changes that affect our quality of life, whether through rising temperatures, extreme droughts, or intense precipitation. The research presents a study of the local context, the Parque das Dunas, located on the eastern part of the city of Natal, the capital of Rio Grande do Norte. The choice of the study area is justified because this densely green area, situated in the urban environment, contributes to the quality of life for the entire population by stabilizing the climate, improving air quality, reducing pollution, and promoting biodiversity. Through questionnaires, park visitors were consulted to understand their perception of climate change in the area. The results indicate that both the thermal sensation of the park is showing signs of changes, as well as some animal species, which may experience variations due to the increase in temperature.
