2020. 31f. An example is when a person has high abilities associated with neurodevelopmental disorders. This study is a clinical case report referring to the evaluative and interventional process of a 9-year-old child with double exceptionality associated with dyslexia. It aims to compare the performance in the tasks of phonological processing, reading and writing before and after phonological remediation. In the first assessment, the child performed below expected in phonological processing skills, alphabetic level and writing transition between syllabic-alphabetic and alphabetic levels. After intervention, the results show consistent improvements in phonological processing and reading - appearing to be in orthographic level. It should be noted that individuals with double-exceptionality show different characteristics from those with isolated dyslexia, since there was significant evolution, after phonological remediation - mainly at reading level - which is not common in a short time of exposure. Thus, the high abilities associated with dyslexia helped to overcome the shown difficulties, especially in reading.
