Alterações auditivas em crianças nascidas de mães que testaram positivo para a Covid-19: uma revisão sistemática. Orientador: Eliene Silva Araújo. 2023. 41f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Fonoaudiologia), Centro de Ciências da Saúde, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2023.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/56169ABSTRACT Purpose: Conduct a literature review on the auditory changes observed in children born of mothers who tested positive for Covid-19 during pregnancy. Research strategies: Literature review study using the PubMed, LILACS, SciELO, Scopus, Web of Science, Cochrane databases, and sources of grey literature, employing the descriptors “Child”, “infant”, “newborn”, “hearing”, “audition”, “mothers”, “family”, “pregnant”, “Covid-19”, “SARS-CoV-2” and “coronavírus”. Selection criteria: Inclusions were defined to encompass mothers who received a positive diagnosis for COVID-19 during pregnancy, along with their respective children born of these mothers. Additionally, eligible primary studies were those available in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, with no restriction on the publication date. Data analysis: The following items were analyzed: authors, publication date, country, sample characterization, age, assessments conducted in each study, and description of the type of auditory changes identified. Results: Of the 108 studies identified, 70 were screened after excluding duplicates and eight met the inclusion criteria. Of these, three studies found hearing alterations, including hearing loss in one case, alterations in the olivocochlear efferent system evidenced by differences in the suppression of otoacoustic emissions, and the third study identified differences in brainstem maturation. Conclusion: The results suggest the possibility of auditory changes in children with a gestational history of Covid-19. The importance of monitoring these children is emphasized, along with the need for additional studies to better understand the long-term impacts.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/Covid-19Covid-19Recém-nascidosNewbornsAudiçãoHearingGestantesPregnant WomanSARS-COV-2SARS-COV-2Alterações auditivas em crianças nascidas de mães que testaram positivo para a Covid-19: uma revisão sistemáticaHearing alteration in children born by mothers who tested positive for COVID-19: a systematic reviewbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::FONOAUDIOLOGIA
