Aiming at guaranteeing this reinsertion of wood in a new life cycle, the present article sought to promote a reuse study of these residues. The goal is to produce a material that acts as a thermal insulator, with low cost materials that can be reproduced and marketed. Two different composites were made, one with wood dust and the other with wood dust and scrap, purchased from a potiguar sawmill. To characterize the material, thermal tests were performed to verify the temperature variation (∆T) of the wood boards, simulating the use of the material as internal and external coating, using concrete boards as a reference. From the results obtained in the tests, it was seen that the wood boards had excellent thermal insulation propertiesMadeiraReutilizaçãoCompósitoIsolamento térmicoReutilização de resíduos de serraria como matéria prima para fabricação de material compósito de isolação térmicaarticle
